I started writing this in January. Then I wrote a little more in February. It’s now late evening on Sunday March 22 and I know I’ll go to bed before hitting publish. I’ll try to publish tomorrow, but, really, who knows?
Partially, this article stalled because it wasn’t flowing. I wanted to write about ending the year of doing hard things and starting the year of whimsy.
Doing hard things
The year of doing hard things was, well, a success for doing hard things. Some were planned, like running both a half and full marathon. Some were unplanned, like leaving a project halfway through because it was going from the frying pan into the fire. But it did give me time to train for the marathon and, thankfully, I had the savings to cover it.
So that was my year of hard things.
The year of whimsy
Today
Today is Saturday April 25. This page has been sitting here open for, literally, months. I give up.
I could rework this and start again, but really. Meh. Let’s just move on. Otherwise it’ll sit here for another 4 months.
The last 4 months has been a couple of virtual races and the 10k at the Ballarat Marathon tomorrow. Yes, this does make it a year since I ran an official half marathon.
What else has been happening? Oh, yeah, the year of whimsy. I launched a new business. Head over to Goats and Friends for the softest, most adorable plush goats and cows. There are also original greeting cards for so many occasions. My favourite is to send your friend to show you’re supporting them. The comment inside: “Siri, where can I hide a body?”. For AUD3, we’ll even handwrite your message
And this post was nearly delayed again because I realised I didn’t have the above images on Instagram. I need to hit publish before I get another distraction. Bye!
