I’m taking it old school. And it’s actually kind of hard.
On Wednesday I got clearance to put the crutches in the garage. It looks like my bone injury has healed. My leg isn’t healed but rest didn’t make it better and low-impact exercise isn’t making it worse. So, some restrictions are lifted and I’m back in training.
My podiatrist and I talked about this blog and my pain diary during Wednesday’s appointment. He asked if this site is about my injury. Kind of, but not really. It’s my diary. Totally public and online, but not publicised and not SEO optimised. I’m breaking all the marketing rules. If you’ve stumbled upon this site, hi! Breaking the rules is actually the hard part. I’m normally writing for purpose, reach and conversion and it’s hard not to add in keywords or H2 headings.
Over the next few months I’ll write about getting my fitness back and training for a marathon in April 2025. I might talk about races, places and products, but it’s incidental, not intentional. And possibly marketing and other random things. I an doing this to track my progress (and a bit of a brain dump at times). I used to do influencer work before the term was used and it’s just not fun.
Oh, and this will probably get a little personal. I want to see the changes in my body as I train and will be getting InBody scans done. But minimal photos of me. I don’t do it elsewhere either. Non-influencer style.
